Pieces

I know it ain’t much, but I’ve been having a pretty fun time working with this:

https://mrstyx.github.io/

What is that? Well in short it’s the front facing portion of a quality assurance course I’ve started over on freecodecamp.org. In order to complete the course you have to clone the repo of FCC’s GitHub. I set up the repo on my GitHub account and linked my VS Code on my local machine. The course itself is fine, it’s covering a lot of Chai assertions which I feel will be helpful with the automation stuff I’m doing at work now. But what I feel like I’ve benefited even more from is the process of setting up the repo, doing commits (and being the repo owner, seeing them come through on the other side), setting up the live site and just generally getting to know the GitHub site a lot better. I feel like a lot of unconnected pools of knowledge in my brain suddenly began to link up…light bulbs started coming on as I started to actually understand how all these pieces come together.
