NA I’m good

An interesting article focusing specifically on Athletic Brewing and also the non-alcoholic beer trend in general.

This past year we made a serious commitment to to cut way back on alcohol consumption as a part of an overall attempt at healthier living. While that is great for ones liver it can pose some interesting social issues. Drinking is so integrated into adult life rituals – cookouts, sports, camping, etc. etc. Having an iced tea just does not hit the same way and it can feel awkward but a good NA beer can be a much better placebo. Athletic is definitely the best out there, it’s always my go-to.

I was fascinated to learn that this shift towards sobriety (or at least a serious cut-back) is not just isolated to our house but connected to a larger trend. My father-in-law made some comment about it when he visited last April. When we told him we had cut way back he responded that he had known of several millennial age peoples cutting back or quitting, shifting away from craft beer as a hobby. (I guess we should have seen this coming with hard seltzer out in front like a heralding Silver Surfer)
